Access to Information and Protection of Privacy

The South East Cornerstone Public School Division is guided by the Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (LAFOIP) and accepts requests for information from its stakeholders. All information provided to individuals upon request, must be done in accordance with the provisions of the LAFOIP.

Please take a moment to peruse the following steps for accessing information.

Step 1: Complete the Access to Information Request Form

The applicant shall make the application in the prescribed form to the local authority in which the record containing the information is kept. The applicant shall specify the subject matter of the record requested with sufficient particularity as to the time, place and event to enable identification of the record.

Step 2: The form may be mailed, faxed or emailed to:

Step 3: Pay the application fee, if applicable.

Step 4: Receive confirmation of receipt. Subject to subsection(4) and subsection 11(3), an application is deemed to be made when the application is received by the South East Cornerstone Public School Division.

Step 5: Allow 30 days for processing of the request and/or written notice regarding the disposition of the request. Where we are unable to identify the record requested, the applicant shall be asked to supply additional details that may lead to the identification of the record.
