The Grade 2/3 Hillcrest School class recently paid a visit to City Hall and Mayor Roy Ludwig to learn more about his job and how decisions are made in Estevan. As a thank you for the tour, the students presented Mayor Roy with a mural of Estevan that is proudly being displayed in the City Hall lobby. (Click the title to view more pictures.)

Congratulations to the Carnduff girls curling team for not only winning bronze at provincials but also receiving the provincial sportsmanship award!

Congratulations to McNaughton High School in Moosomin for receiving $10,000 through the Mosaic School Nutrition Challenge! McNaughton plans to expand their already impressive lunch program by offering a breakfast program out of the concession as well!

On Thursday, May 5th, Gladmar Regional School students attended a Student Convention created just for them by their staff. Students were handed lanyards with their names and selected schedules for the day from the staff, who greeted them at the door. There were many sessions for students to attend, featuring members from their very own community and beyond. Hillcrest School celebrated their first “back together breakfast” with over 100 students attending! The breakfast club operated in a reduced capacity all throughout the pandemic, but it is clear that there is nothing like being together. A special thanks to the staff and volunteers that make this program a success.
