Are we at a farm? Nope, just another day in Mrs. Hammermeister’s classroom at Alameda School. The K students have been anxiously waiting for the chicks to hatch. Every day students were listening for peeps and looking for pips! With great anticipation the day finally arrived! The students were super excited to watch the chicks hatch and later get to hold them. Just in time for Easter!

For the second year in a row, the Gladmar Regional School Falcons Sr. girls basketball team captured a silver medal at Hoopla. After defeating Coronach in the semi-final, the Falcons had a rematch from last year’s provincial 1A girls final against Lake Lenore. Unfortunately, the girls lost by a close 5 points 50-45. Congratulations to the Falcons on a successful 2022/23 season!

The South East Regional Saskatchewan Regional Science Festival Committee held the 30th Annual South East Regional STEAM Fair on March 22, 2023 at Lampman School. All students (grades 5 to 12) from the South East were invited to be involved in this event. The winning project from Carnduff is eligible to move on to the Canada Wide Science Festival which will be held in Edmonton, AB in May. This is a once in a lifetime educational opportunity to promote science innovation. Click the title to see the winners!

On February 8th, the Pangman SRC hosted a supper, talent show, and penny raffle in hopes of raising money for the TeleMiracle and Kinsmen Foundation. Thanks to all the overwhelming support from our community and our school families, our school raised $2,748.55 for the TeleMiracle and Kinsmen Foundation! We also made it on TV for this event! It was such a fun event and a great cause to raise money for. We hope to do this for years to come!

The ECS grade 9 French Immersion students bravely shared their French poems at a local coffee shop - Michael's Coffee Shop. They have been exploring poetry, its forms, patterns and rhyme schemes so they took the show on the road. They did FANTASTIQUE!

Big Congratulations to Stoughton Bulldogs Sr. Boys who brought home the Bronze medal from Hoopla this past weekend. What a great way to end a season, well done!

Skylar, a grade 12 student at Pangman School, recently received The Chancellor’s Scholarship Circle of Honour award from the University of Saskatchewan. To receive this premier entrance scholarship for $30,000, Skylar has maintained an academic average about 95 percent. In the fall, Skylar will begin her studies in Biomedical Sciences at the U of S and is working to pursue a career as a surgeon. Click the title to read more!
