This year, 9 students graduated from the French Immersion program at Estevan Comprehensive School. These students graduated with a bilingual high school diploma.
Great work, grads!

APES was very excited to welcome several members of the Weyburn Beavers team into the school and classrooms. These student athletes led by example and shared how they too enjoy reading and math. On Wednesday, May 22nd, the French Immersion Grade 1 class at Assiniboia Park Elementary School helped turn the school gym into a French Café. They spoke in French as they welcomed family and friends to enjoy drinks, fruit and a few sweet treats from a menu. This was a great opportunity for the students to have fun and practice their French. (Click the title for more pictures.)

Students and staff at Westview School in Estevan participated in a "Halloween in June" spirit day. (Click the title for more pictures)

The Carnduff Education Complex grade 5 class was inspired to create their own artwork after reading the book 'Ancient Thunder' by Leo Yerxa, to acknowledge and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21. (Click the title for more pictures.)

On May 31 the Assiniboia Park Elementary School Grade 1 French Immersion class welcomed the EYES team into their classroom for a hands on science activity called Squishy Skies. (Click the title for more information.)

The Wawota Grade 7 ELA class and their teacher, Mrs. Jaime Finlay, are the Canadian National Champions of the Mission Explorium Challenge from Agriculture in the Classroom and were awarded a $1,000 prize!

Stoughton Grade 10 students took their learning on the road with a trip to Winnipeg. (Click the title to read more.)

Spruce Ridge Grade 8 students were invited to spend the afternoon at a local farm learning about the evolution of farming, equipment, land development, product growth, and production techniques used.

The farm has been family run and operated for multiple generations and students were able to learn about the impact of farming on the family and the larger community.
