SECPSD advises all parents, guardians and staff that all classes and programs for Wednesday
and Thursday, April 13th and 14th are cancelled. Our school facilities will be closed.
The unprecedented forecast is a widespread blizzard warning in our area with significant snow
accumulation and wind resulting in road closures, power outages and the inability for people
to travel even within communities. With the potential of the storm “of the century” and with
possible challenges in communication, we did want to ensure that we made the decision in a
timely manner and have communicated with parents, guardians and staff.
We thank you for your understanding as we work to support the safety of students, staff and
community. Safety is a top priority for SECPSD. If the storm does not materialize to the same
degree across all communities, we have erred on the side of safety and caution.
