The 3 "R's" of Early Learning 7

When caring adults build a consistent routine to say goodbye to babies and young children it allows them to feel familiar with what is happening and develop skills to cope with separation. Share a hug, a kiss on the hand or sing a goodbye song. When a caring adult invites young children to read the pictures and tell the story to others, the child can use the pictures as story-telling clues. Pictures help children to tell the story in the proper sequence, they also help the child to understand that stories have a beginning, middle, and end. When a caring adult responds as quickly as possible to the needs of a babies and young children, it helps form a strong, healthy, and trusting relationship with their adult caregiver. Feed, change, or cuddle them as soon as possible, to help them build trust in others.
