Oxbow Prairie Horizons School Black Knights Senior Basketball has qualified for HOOPLA (Provincials). OPHS beat Canora and Creighton to capture the regional title and are advancing to HOOPLA! This marks a historic moment as Oxbow makes its first-ever appearance in the SHSAA Hoopla provincials!

It was a stellar season for Gladmar Regional School (GRS) curlers Amy and Andie. Pairing up for the inaugural SHSAA Doubles curling competition, the sister duo advanced to provincials going undefeated through Conference and Regional play. The provincial competition eventually found them in the gold medal game against their rivals from Oxbow who had beat them earlier in the day. It was a close, hard-fought game, but the team from GRS were victorious and took provincial gold!! Congratulations to Amy, Andie and coaches Stephanie and Susan. Gladmar Regional School is proud to have Amy and Andie represent the school at the Doubles Curling Provincials in Prince Albert on March 7 and 8. They have won both Conferences and Regionals. Congratulations and good luck at Provincials! (Click the title for a second photo.)

This past weekend, Wawota welcomed six curling teams, all vying for two spots to qualify for the SHSAA Provincials.

Our Senior Girls are now Regional Girls Curling Champions! Rachel, Cassidy, Mya, Olivia, and Parker claimed victory in both of their matches, securing the A-Side title. In the B-Side final, Yorkton Sacred Heart faced off against Estevan in a nail-biting match that came down to a measure in the final end. Ultimately, Estevan clinched the second spot. Congratulations to both teams on their fantastic performances!

Mark your calendars! On March 7th and 8th, Wawota will host the SHSAA Provincials. Eight teams from across the province will compete for the title of Provincial Champions. Be sure to come down to the rink to cheer on our hometown girls!

Congratulations to the ECS Cheer Team who placed first at the Best of the West competition in Moose Jaw in the scholastic division. The team also received the highest scholastic mark at the competition! Great job!

Wawota hosted the Junior Girls' Districts and their Junior Boys went to Estevan. Mya, Parker, Alyssa, Thea and Aubree are this year's SEDAA Champions!! Lydia, Chesney, Kira, Roary and Tessa also had a good day and finished off winning the Consolation Game! Wawota's Junior Boys, Riley, Samuel, Jaxon and Andy had a good day and finished in Second Place. Great job to all of our junior curlers!! (Click the title for additional pictures.)
