Let's Get A Routine

Routine provides structure, certainty, predictability and security in this unprecedented time full of uncertainty for children and families. It helps maintain balance and normalcy. The more a child can anticipate what's ahead in their day, the better they can be prepared.

Our routine will almost surely be different now, and that's okay. With Student's schooling from home, we want to remember that although this is different it is important to establish a new routine in our new normal.

Some easy ways to promote routine in your family include:

  • Start with regular wake up and bedtimes
  • Get dressed for the day – don't make every day a PJ day
  • Stick to a regular meal schedule
  • Get outside and moving
  • Make time to make connection – play a board game, read a book out loud, or make a meal together!
