Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during this blustery cold snap. January 28th marks the end of the first semester so high school students are busy wrapping up their classes by studying for final exams and completing projects. Please ensure you have looked at the attached exam schedule. Second semester will begin Wednesday, January 30th.
Our school is excited to be participating in the Welcome to Kindergarten (WTK) program. Previously, four-year-olds would attend a one-day Kindergarten orientation. This year, as part of the WTK, we will be hosting more than one orientation to better prepare our incoming Kindergarten students for their formal Kindergarten year and beyond. In collaboration with our Kindergarten teacher, Speech and Language Pathologist, Counsellor, SCC Chair, SECPSD Early Learning & Care Consultant, Town Library, and the Family Center, we will be hosting our first fun and informative evening for four year olds and their parents in the Lampman community on Tuesday, January 29th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Please stay tuned for a formal invitation to this event. If you know of anyone who might be interested in this, please forward this information onto them or have them contact the school.
Lampman School is also hosting their annual IMPACT night for three year olds and their parents in the Lampman community on Thursday, February 7th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. More information about this event will be provided in the coming weeks.
Lastly, please see the attached information from the SECPSD Transportation Department regarding amendments to bus service cancellation.
If you have any questions about upcoming events or school matters, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.
