Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! I wanted to personally extend a warm welcome to both our new and returning families. I am truly excited about the upcoming school year!
I would like to take this time to welcome our new staff to Lampman School; Mrs. Rhiannon La Rose as our Learning Support Teacher (LST), Miss Whitney Czerwonka as our senior math teacher, Mr. Jeff Lunde as our new shop teacher, and myself, Mrs. Annmarie Rosner, your new principal. We are excited to be a part of the team!
Teachers have been busy over the last couple of weeks with staff meetings, school improvement planning, and professional development. All of which have helped set up for a new school year filled with learning and fun.
We plan to begin the year with Colour Wars – a fun in-school competition for K-12. We hope you join us for our K-12 Literacy Night on September 26 at 6:30pm. We have a variety of stations that encourage physical, intellectual, artistic, and technological literacy and skills. More details on this event will follow. Our SCC Annual General Meeting is on Monday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m and we always encourage new members!
There are a couple of important housekeeping items I wanted to bring to your attention. Firstly, due to safety concerns, parents are reminded that our parking lot is a "Kiss and Drop" Zone. This means that if you pull into the parking lot, you may only stop long enough to drop your child off. If you need to enter the school, you must park in the staff or overflow lot or on the street. When parking on the highway, please be mindful that you are not blocking entrance or exit areas and therefore, reducing the visibility of those leaving the lot. Secondly, morning supervision for students begins at 8:40 am. Lastly, we continue to value your child(ren)'s attendance at school but should an absence arise, please call the office between 8:00-9am. Also, if you know you are going to be away for any length of time, please give your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher a week (if possible) to prepare upcoming work, especially for high school classes.

I truly look forward to being a part of the Lampman School team by learning and growing with the students and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your child(ren)'s educational experience.

Yours in Education,
Mrs. Annmarie Rosner
