Semester Two will begin on Monday, February 3rd.
All teachers and students successfully wrapped up a busy first semester. High
school report cards will be available to view online on the morning of February
3rd.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our
‘Reading by the Digital Fireplace’ for Family Literacy Week. We had a great
turnout! I want to extend a special thank you to the SCC, who provided the
homemade muffins.
I also wanted to thank our SCC for purchasing
our new school laminator. We have been without one for some time so teachers
are so pleased to finally have one up and working.
As part of Aboriginal Storytelling Month,
Lampman School is so pleased to be able to bring two Entertainers this
year. On Monday, February 10th, Michele Amy, a Metis fiddler from
Forget and Dale MacArthur (originally from White Bear First Nation), a singer/songwriter
out of Regina will be at our school!
As we prepare staffing and band programming for
next year, Mr. Lunde handed out an ‘Opt Out’ form for band students on January
28th. If you are not registering for band next year, please submit
your ‘Opt Out’ form to the school office by February 14th. This
option is only available to students in grades 7-12. Band is mandatory for
all students in grades 5 and 6.
February 10-14 is Staff Appreciation Week and I
would like to take the time to personally thank every member of staff at
Lampman School. Each of you play a unique and pivotal role in our student’s
lives.
As always, please refer to our calendar for all
upcoming activities and events.
Have a wonderful February break!
As always, feel free to contact me or your
child’s teacher regarding any concerns or questions you have.
