Mrs. Koski and Mrs. JD's girls volleyball practice after school today is cancelled . Please remember we are in Arcola tomorrow after school. Be ready to leave from period 6 tomorrow at 2:45 from the Cugnet Centre.

 

All students who won a lunch for the Lunch Auction, please pay for it in the office so you can make arrangements to have your lunch brought to you.

 

Pictures are with your Homeroom or SAS teachers.  Check with them during breaks to see if they have your pictures.  Not all pictures have arrived yet but if you ordered early, they may have arrived.  Anyone who has Mr. Lueck and Mr. Niev as their SAS teacher, come to the office for your pictures.

Driver Training List – if you turn 15 by the end of January 2018, you can come sign up for the next Driver Training (starting in November).  We are expanding the birthday dates as we still have room on the sheet.

Are you interested in attending Sask Polytechnic next year? INSIGHT is Thursday, November 16 from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Prospective students interested in learning more about a specific Sask Polytech program can register for this FREE event online or through Student Services in advance.  They will begin the morning with a brief presentation that gives an overview of the admission processes, service areas, and training opportunities.  Following this, students will go to the program area they selected to "explore, try, apply".

Cartooning Class with teacher Gary Robertson is offered at Signal Hill;  10 to 4 pm on October 21st.  The cost is 75.00.  It is open to grades 7 to 12.

 

WCS SKI TRIP : any student grade 7-12 interested in joining the WCS Ski Trip this year needs to attend a meeting on Thursday October 19th at 8:25am in the Eagle gym. The trip this year will be going to Asessippi! Come to the meeting to find out more. If you cannot attend the meeting please see Mr. Kerr in the Eagle gym for information.

FIT CLUB – a new club is starting in the school that is there to help you achieve the most out of your workout! Fit Club will be offering sample workouts, personal training advice, one on one instruction and much more here at the comp. A meeting will be called for all interested grade 7-9 students this week! Come on by and find out what this club will be able to offer you and your own personal training.

 

Weyburn Travel Club still has space on its tour this year! If you are interested in joining our trip to Europe this Easter the deadline for registration is fast approaching. Don't miss the chance to see Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland over the school break! For more information see Mr. Kerr in the Eagle gym.

IT'S RETAKE DAY! Lifetouch is here between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Grade 10, 11, 12 students, please go on your prep if you have one! Grade 7, 8, 9 students, please go on your lunch break! Staff, if you missed picture day, don't forget to have your picture done, as well.

Baking Club meets today (Tuesday) at 3:35 in the Foods Lab.

 

Media Mindstorm!!  Today we examine the horror genre by checking out "I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in this House"  Sounds scary!!…but…it is October and Halloween is near!!  Check out the Cinema Review club after school today in room 122.  Open to all students grades 9-12.

 

There will be a quick A BOYS VOLLEYBALL meeting at 3:30 today.  If you can't be there you MUST see Mrs. Warren sometime today.

They would be in groups of 2 or 3 and assisting guests with the carnival games. Oct 29 from 2pm - 7pm. Please let me know if this would be possible, (soon). Thanks so much!! There are bigger posters on the bulletin boards by the office and down from the Library.

Newer Announcements and Reminders

 

IMPORTANT REMINDER to all athletes and activity members involved in the Community Card blitz TONIGHT. Please meet at the Cugnet Center entrance by 5:45 to get your route information. The blitz will run from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear reflective clothing if possible. If you are unable to attend, it is your responsibility to contact your coach or advisor to let them know

 

WCS Boys Freshman Volleyball team travelled to Medicine Hat this past weekend to a 24-team tournament.  The boys finished the weekend with a 13W-3L record, with which they captured gold in the tier 2 final.

 

ALL ROOKIE BOYS (Mr. Field' s/Mr. Paterson's team) volleyball players: there will be a quick meeting in the Cugnet Centre at the END of NOON HOUR (12:05).

 

The Junior Boys volleyball team had another competitive weekend at Greenall High School in Balgonie this passed weekend.  The boys defeated the Leboldus Suns in two straight sets to finish first overall in the round robin.  The boys would face the Suns again for their third straight back to back game in the semi final match.  The boys were unable to top Leboldus for a second time and lost out.  The boys travel to Carnduff this coming up weekend for their fifth tournament of the season.  Good luck boys!

The Weyburn Paris Travel Club is looking for some thoughtful, adventurous, mature people to join our trip to Paris and the South of Spain for Easter 2018.  Deadline is October 15.  Please see Madame for more details.  For this trip only, you don't have to be a French student 😊 but you have to be prepared to do your best to speak French in Paris, even if it's just to say merci and au revoir.

A pair of blue Adidas shoes have gone missing from the Cugnet gym.  A red guitar pic earring has also gone missing.  If found, please turn in to a gym teacher.  

 

Someone left a bag in one of the Barber Motors van yesterday.  If it is yours, you can pick it up at Barber Motors.
